    Job Summary:

    The Sr. Collections Administrator’s primary responsibility is to conduct collection calls with domestic customers (US/Canada) regarding past due balances, but may also conduct collections to foreign countries.   The ability to research customer accounts prior to contact, and to identify and resolve customer disputes is a key to the success of this role. The Sr. Collections Administrator is tasked with reducing SonoSite’s outstanding overdue accounts receivable balance while maintaining good relationships with our customers.  In conjunction with this, the ability to work effectively and coordinate their collection efforts with SonoSite finance/credit teams based outside the United States while coordinating their domestic efforts with the corporate team is a requirement of the position and another key to success.

    The Sr. Collections Administrator will participate in the daily operations of the Credit/AR department, including but not limited to: releasing orders, verifying, forwarding, and filing invoices and statements, reconciling account balances, conducting bank and reference checks for domestic and international accounts, running credit reports, and data entry.


    Key Responsibilities:


    • Portfolio management – ownership of all key collection activities for customer accounts in assigned portfolio
    • Collections – Heavy customer contact: at least 75% of the time spent via phone and email
    • Collection calls on past due invoices/accounts
    • Sending invoices to end users based on contact information in Salesforce.com
    • Identification and resolution of customer disputes
    • Credit review / release holds (including processing customer credit applications, running credit reports and evaluating customer trade references)
    • Researching overdue customer accounts prior to direct contact
    • Other duties as assigned, including customer account updates, tax exemptions, printing invoices, cash posting, and trade receivables analysis, reconciliations, and special projects


    Knowledge and Experience:


    • Previous Collection experience of at least 7 -10 years
    • Government billing using WAWF/iRAPT a plus
    • Experience with LC’s
    • Knowledge of Oracle is a plus
    • High level of communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Experience using Salesforce.com is a plus
    • Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite
