The Role

 

The Senior Accountant will support our Process Chemicals group (FEPC) and subsidiaries.

External US

Key responsibilities for this role include:

 

  • Coordinate monthly closing activities and consolidate and report financial information of FEPC & subsidiaries actual results, MTP and current estimates.
  • Create results analysis and enter financial data to corporate system. Prepare consolidated reports for management reviews, submission to Japan Corporate Accounting & Planning and EM Division.
  • Maintain accounting master data in ERP system (SAP).
  • Prepare required reports for FUJIFILM Holdings America Finance and Tax as required.
  • Consolidate information and prepare government reports.
  • Support external, internal, and J-Sox audits and develop remedial actions for deficiencies.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries based on resulting analysis.
  • Support FEPC Business Management regarding activity at European and Asian subs providing financial information and facilitating business transactions for credits, pricing for raw material / blends invoicing.
  • Undertake miscellaneous projects as directed by Manager Accounting Services in support of business groups.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. MBA, CMA or CPA preferred.
  • 5 plus years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationships within a team environment and across departments. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks in an environment of changing priorities.
  • Advanced Accounting Principles, Excel, and SAP.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
