    Regional Sales Manager - Packaging


    We are hiring for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) - Packaging for our Graphic Systems Division.  As the RSM you will be responsible for the Western half of the US and perform a broad range of sales management functions to oversee and assist in the identification and evaluation of specific account opportunities, the development and execution of strategies and plans to penetrate each of the market segments, and maximize sales of the products within each of the market assigned segment.  The selected candidate will be located in Hanover Park, IL.

    Some of the responsibilies are, but not limited to:


    • Provide direction and assist direct reports in the development and execution of plans and strategies for penetrating and developing profitable sales volumes in assigned specialty product markets.
    • Provide effective and efficient administration to ensure compliance with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and practices. Direct, coach, supervise and develop staff to ensure cost-effective achievement of sales objectives and budgets.  Participate in recruitment and selection of qualified staff, monitor and evaluate performance, initiate personal actions as appropriate.
    • Achievement of assigned yearly sales goals
    • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the key product specifications for Fujifilm consumable and equipment Flexo products.
    • Direct involvement with development of financial package for customers and prospects, as well as presentation of financial package.
    • Maintain a valued relationship with key customers and prospects, positioning Fujifilm consumables as technically superior products, and themselves as a respected technical resource.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the key business requirements of their customers and prospects for both current and future business needs
    • Introduce Fujifilm products and services to existing and prospective customers, and is a key advisor in helping them select and install solutions best suited to their needs.
    • Establish, develop, and maintain valued business relationships with current and prospective customers
    • Obtain, analyze, and communicate market status, competitive product data and activity, and other information pertaining to the specialty segments assigned to the field and management
    • Coordinate support efforts with marketing, logistics, accounting, technical support, and sales management.
    • Manage salesforce.com to ensure data properly reflects territory activity and opportunity, with accurate customer profile, share opportunity, assets, agreements, and contact details.
    • Provide written and oral feedback to management on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential needs for new products and services.
    • Educate themselves around product applications, market conditions, technology changes, market trends, sales process improvements, and other position related requirements through company and industry provided materials.
    • Prepare monthly reports providing updates
    • Attend seminars, webinars, and training classes, to maintain and increase their knowledge of Fujifilm’s Consumable product portfolio.
    • Participate in Industry events, trade shows, and company functions as requested.
    • Control territory costs within established budgets levels for T&E, auto, IT, consigned equipment, sample product, and other areas as determined by the company.
    • Perform related duties as assigned by manager.

    Required skills:


    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years sales experience in Graphics/Printing Industry
    • 5+ years sales and territory management
    • Broad and solid understanding of flexo/packaging printing plates, sundries, ink products and applications, printing technologies and processes, and markets and competition related to the products and segment assigned
    • Developed consultative selling skills
    • Ability to work as a member of an account team that develops and implements business strategies.
    • Ability to interact with and influence various levels of management within the assigned account base
    • Outstanding organization and time management skills.
    • Essential communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to travel ~70%
    • Valid Driver’s License Required
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to navigate company intranet site, as well as complete various on line forms and required spreadsheets. 


    Desired skills:

    • Two years of college or technical school resulting in an Associate’s degree or equivalent
    • 5 to 7 years of recent sales and territory management experience in the flexo/packaging or printing ink industry
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce/Showpad
    • Extensive knowledge of the graphic communication industry, including digital and electronic applications.
    • Previous experience managing and leading a team
    • Proven leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
    • Ability to develop innovative solutions and demonstrate good use of independent judgment.
    • Ability to work with a high level of integrity and with minimal supervision.
