    Job Summary:

     

    The Product Manager will be responsible for leading new product development projects to drive consistent, market-leading growth for point of care ultrasound markets.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Achievement of sales and market share goals for assigned products.
    • Define product features and definition for new and current product offerings.
    • Ownership and responsibility of assigned products through entire product lifecycle.
    • Develop strong relationships with clinicians to attain deep understanding of user needs to ensure the “voice of customer” is reflected in products and business processes.
    • Serve as a customer advocate on internal product development teams.
    • Clearly communicate product benefits to our users and internal stakeholders.
    • Drive fact based product requirements based on market research to support both market analysis and new product designs specifications.
    • Review requirements and delivery progress with a broad set of business stakeholders including engineering, design, sales, marketing, business development , finance  and regulatory.
    • Support program management to effectively prioritize market needs, product priorities and deliverables.
    • Work in tandem with marketing managers and sales organization to analyze business performance, identify business opportunities, determine strategic direction and resolve market and product problems in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and analyze product feedback from multiple sources to integrate into product development.
    • Monitor financial performance metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of new product enhancements (ROI success).
    • Analyze and report on competitive activity and technology development trends that may impact business.   
    • Work with Quality and Regulatory Affairs to support regulatory activities specifically related to the introduction of new products (i.e., country registrations, submission and follow-up of 510k), as well as responding to internal and external audits (i.e., FDA, ISO, other regulatory bodies).

    Knowledge and Experience:

    • Significant ultrasound industry experience (3+ years) in successful product management.
    • BS/BA in biomedical engineering, clinical science, biomedical sciences or equivalent ultrasound imaging systems.
    • Registered diagnostic sonographer background preferred.
    • Preferred direct experience in customer facing role: marketing, commercial sales, clinical field applications.
    • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional product line teams.

    Skills and Abilities:

     

    • Strong analytical and process skills.
    • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet short and long term deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to travel approximately 20-25% of time to meet with customers and regional sales teams to drive customer focused product development.
