Job Summary:

 

Provide decision support in the form of business, financial and process analysis to functional departments.  Apply accounting, financial and operational knowledge to address a variety of complex business problems and opportunities in both an individual and team environment.  Strive to develop and enhance business partnering between Finance and business functions.  General areas of competency include financial modeling, cost management, budget analysis & planning, operational & process design, and financial accounting.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

Service Operations

  • Providing business and financial planning and support to Service business including strategic planning, annual budgeting, monthly financial reporting and operational KPIs.
  • Provide financial guidance on achieving sales growth, improved margins, lower operating costs and improved inventory position.
  • Provide analysis, management and cost control over critical service accruals such as deferred revenue, service inventory reserves and warranty allowances.
  • Partner with operations to improving processes, establishing standard work/procedures, upgrading systems/technology and driving cost reductions.

IT Shared Services Operations

  • Liaisons with HLUS IT to ensure service levels are achieved, cost cross charges are appropriate and maximum value is received.
  • Provide oversight and management of IT projects and priorities, including funnel management, between FFSS functions and HLUS IT. Partner with HLUS IT to update senior management on IT initiatives.
  • Monitor and ensure IT services and programs are operated effectively, updating program policies and parameters as needed (i.e., mobile phone, Google accounts, PC leasing).

FP&A General Support

  • Assist in development and deployment of practices and tools to 1) improve tracking of corporate level initiatives and KPIs, 2) assess operational issues and identification of counter measures and 3) monthly / quarterly management review protocol.
  • Support definition of business, process and financial requirements as input for system enhancements, including extension and upgrade to existing systems (i.e. Oracle, Saleforce.com).
  • Provide program management support to cross functional teams to ensure coordination and successful execution of improvement initiatives.
  • Supports day-to-day requests for financial analysis and reporting as needed.  Assume backup role for critical planning, reporting and month-end close activities.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

 

  • BA or BS, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Experience in a high technology and discrete manufacturing environment.
  • General ledger knowledge, Excel modeling, and database analysis.
  • 10+ years of financial analysis, financial reporting, and planning experience.
  • Problem analysis and resolution at a strategic and functional level.
  • Well-developed analytical skills including business economics and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to strongly and persuasively present viewpoints.
  • Oracle experience (Desired).
