Job Summary:


The Strategic Distribution Manager is responsible for overall market-place performance, strategic growth planning and full compliance with the country’s regulatory, quality, trade and proper business standards, policies and laws.


Essential Job Functions: 

  • Manage, on behalf of FUJIFILM SonoSite, all aspects of the company’s affairs including regulatory, tactical marketing, selling and servicing of the company’s products. 
  • Manage FUJIFILM SonoSite's distribution partners within the assigned regions to achieve their annual sales targets.
  • Continue developing new business in already established sales channels to expand business.
  • Direct sales responsibility for designated customer groups within assigned territory.
  • Direct responsibility to achieve annual sales revenue targets.
  • Achieve sales booking and service income margins.
  • Achieve budgetary expenditure levels in all areas of sales.
  • Responsible, in conjunction with the Marketing Division, for ensuring correct marketing activities are implemented, creating appropriate sales leads and company recognition within budget expenditure level.
  • Plan and manage expense levels, inventory levels and receivables.
  • Ensure local licensing, quality assurance and regulatory issues are satisfied. Responsible for ensuring the company complies with all local and federal statutes, regulations, laws, and directives regarding all aspects of the business including, but not limited to, legal, human resources, regulatory, financial, health and safety.
  • Establish and nurture luminary physician relationships within assigned territory.
  • Attendance and sales support for national and regional trade shows in which SonoSite and/or distribution partners participate.
  • Liaise with governmental and luminary level customers to provide high degree of senior management involvement in important operational matters.
  • Participate in selected conferences, seminars and luminary level sales activities.


Knowledge and Experience:


  • 5 to 7 years' experience in sales management in a medical device company. 
  • Proven track-record in business management with P&L responsibility.
  • Understanding of financial controls and information systems.
  • Current knowledge of the POC medical imaging devices industry, specifically as it relates to ultrasound, would be an advantage.
  • Qualifications and experience within a medical profession or paramedical profession would be an advantage.
