Job Summary:

 

The Ultrasound Engineering intern will work with subject matter experts to automate and improve system integration testing.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Review feature integration test plans
  • Develop detailed integration test steps
  • Write scripts for test automation
  • Update instrument control equipment
  • Run tests and document results
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
  • If time allows, develop tools to assist in transducer optimization.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

 

  • Working towards BS in electrical, computer, software, or bio-engineering or related field
  • Successful high school completion with strong grades in math & science
  • Strong scripting experience in MATLAB, Ruby, Python, etc.
  • Experience developing and executing test protocols, and composing test plans and reports
  • Introductory signal and image processing desirable
  • Hands-on experience with electronic laboratory equipment and instrument control highly desirable
  • Experience in performing tests and good laboratory practices

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people
  • Ability to communicate effectively both within other groups in Engineering and throughout the company.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds, with or without accommodations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ultrasound knowledge desirable
  • Flexibility in work hours required to meet program completion dates (overtime may be required).
