We are currently hiring for a Service Technician for our Wayne, NJ Location. As a Service Technician you will be responsible for the service and repair of products, perform quality control and provide technical customer service for ENG, EFP, CINE, CCTV, Pan and Tilt and all accessories. You will also assist with training service staff on new products and techniques.   Perform other duties as assigned and requested by his/her Manager and/or Management.

Some of the responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Provide technical support to sales force and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained to achieve division sales plans.
  • Diagnose customer complaints regarding products in electrical, mechanical and optical.
  • Estimate parts and labor required to achieve factory specs for lens.
  • Disassemble, clean, re-lube and realign mechanical, optical and electrical functions.
  • Reduce repair turn-around time.
  • Perform quality control for repaired lenses.
  • Perform quality control for sales lenses.
  • Perform modification of products to accommodate delivery and/or customer.
  • Provide technical support by telephone.
  • Provide technical support to field service staff.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment; adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other jobs/functions as requested by Manager and/or Management.

Required skills:

  • Experienced service technician who knows the product lines.
  • Highly focused and results-oriented; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment, self- starter.
  • Possess exceptional communication/interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Effective Time Management skills.
  • Extensive hands on experience in the areas of technical service and training in the broadcast and communications products field.

Desired skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in engineering or related quantitative disciplines, plus 3 + years work experience in a fast paced and highly competitive technical and service environments
  • Ability to research and analyze various different types of data information and make sound business judgments.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
