Design, implement, debug, and maintain ultrasound signal path control software for portable medical ultrasound machines. Design and develop low-level software, including drivers for interfacing with proprietary hardware. Responsible for assigned software modules from design to implementation and testing in alignment with system software architecture. Responsible for root causing and fixing bugs while maintaining software through multiple releases. Design, develop and test assigned software modules in compliance with system software architecture and the software product development process. Write software requirements, design and test documentation, and integrate software with hardware. Carry out the company’s quality system requirements. Communicate project status and status of other engineering functions to manager. Reqts: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field, and 2 years of work experience in the position offered or related position, including 1 year of experience with: Embedded software development using embedded operating system, hardware debuggers, including JTAG debuggers and oscilloscope; Programming experience with C, C++ and Python in Windows environment; Designing and implementing software to interface with proprietary hardware, FPGA, and ADC/DAC integrated circuits; Reading and understanding specifications of digital devices and schematics of electronic systems; Software tools used for development activities including ClearCase, Git, Agile, JIRA.
