FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA is currently looking to hire a Manager, Inventory Control and Parts for our Endoscopy division in Wayne, NJ. This position reports directly to the Director of Service Operations. In order to ensure customer satisfaction and avoid potential financial losses, this position is responsible for repair parts management which includes areas of inventory planning, procurement, distribution and system/process structuring.

Responsibilities for this role will include but not be limited to: 



  • Execute tasks in line with company goals and ensures compliance with all procedures defined for the Medical division’s operation, applicable laws and guidelines regulated by Food and Drug Administration or other applicable organization.
  • Develop and implement necessary processes and procedures for assigned responsibilities.
  • Manage parts staff of 3-5 people.

Inventory Management:

  • Achieve and maintain parts inventory levels set by management.
  • Achieve and maintain an appropriate level of repair parts distribution as well as necessary tools and jigs for repairs as set by management.
  • Monitor and analyze the condition of the inventory levels and plan countermeasures.
  • Assure parts quality at all stages of parts receiving, storage and the distribution.
  • Secure the inventory stock from any property loss.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data, including information of pricing, parts order number and so on so forth in ERP (SAP) system.
  • Improve and maintain required storage conditions in Parts Dept.
  • Streamline working areas including the storage space to improve operations parts coordination.
  • Plan and conduct annual inventory clearance based upon data analysis.
  • Generate the forecast of parts ordering, complete periodical parts ordering in timely manner and make continuous communication directly to Service Solution div. in FTYO to confirm timely parts procurement.
  • Generate report to forecast parts consumption.
  • Verify transactions are properly performed in the ERP (SAP) and Service Management System (EXFM).
  • Suggest parts pricing of all new registered parts and existing parts from the aspect of profitability and competitiveness against competitors.
  • Report weekly, monthly and annually all above condition and findings to management.

Parts distribution management:

  • Monitor and manage the monthly shipping cost taken to parts distribution.
  • Review and verify both purchase order requests and payment requests for parts ordered by contracted service providers.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of parts delivery turnaround to achieve set targets and implement the countermeasures as needed.
  • Establish and demonstrate information distribution process to both of internal service and contracted service partners about new launched parts and any design changed parts in timely manner.
  • Manage timely parts distribution to internal repair center, contracted service partners and Field engineers.
  • Report weekly, monthly and annually all above condition and findings to management.



  •  A four-year college degree required or equivalent work experience. College course work in statistics, mathematics, forecasting models or related fields required.  Seminars or workshops on inventory control techniques, forecasting and handling hazardous materials are desirable.  APICS certificate desirable.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a management position in a high volume Inventory Control function and Repair parts procurement and distribution environment required.Work experience in an FDA regulated industry, medical devices or overseas company’s subsidiary in US desirable.Strong data-based analytical skills required.
  • Exceptional numerical aptitude. 
  • Effective oral/written communication skills.  Knowledge of SAP ( 3 years minimum experience in materials & purchasing modules ), excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required.

Physical requirements

  •  Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings at various sites within and away from the City; strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office/lab environment.
  • The environment is temperature controlled.The noise level in the work environment is low/moderate.
