We seek an intern who is actively enrolled as a full time student pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, at a four-year university. This intern will be under guidance of factory automation team members to develop solutions supporting existing manufacturing operations to improve yield and overall product performance.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As a Software Engineer Intern you will work closely with automation experts and wafer fab personnel to test and support solutions developed in C# and other proprietary technologies. Monitor existing deployed application health and develop custom solutions as needed. Provide maintenance support such as troubleshooting and problem analysis. Documenting, testing and verifying changes related to Factory Systems.  Additionally, you will be working in a clean room environment, requiring clean room gowning (smock, hood, gloves, booties, etc.).

REQUIRED: 

  • For undergraduate students having completed at least 2 years of study or for graduate students prior internship experience.
  • Full time student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum availability for 8 weeks.
  • Developed applications in Java. C# experience preferred, but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of source control technologies, good coding practices.
  • Familiar with database technologies.
  • Willing to learn new technologies or applications.
  • Work experience in related field through co-op, internship, or projects
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm
  • Good problem solving skills, acceptance of responsibility and good work ethic
  • Able to work in teams on various projects and efficiently communicate results to various teams.
  • Detail oriented and able to clearly document work done.
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate results.
