We seek an intern who is actively enrolled as a full time student pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering or a related field, at a four-year university.  This position will work directly with the Quality Engineering team to provide quality solutions and support to our on-site manufacturing department.  As a Quality Engineering Intern you will work directly with other quality team members to assist with problem solving, non-value added reduction, and yield improvement efforts for high volume production qualification of our latest products.


Wafer Fab

In the wafer fab area, you will gain a diverse opportunity while getting exposed to a variety of quality engineering practices relevant to the complexity of qualifying and improving processes in a wafer fab environment.  Activities may include part comparisons, statistical data analysis, yield enhancement, procedure alignment and/or material properties characterization utilizing strong problem solving skills and project management abilities.



In the assembly area, you will be provided with a fantastic opportunity to gain relevant quality engineering experiences such as operation of metrology tools, basic production statistical knowledge such as normal distribution, standard deviation, six sigma basic ideas and concepts, Cp and Cpk calculation by statistical analysis software. 




  • Support quality related projects primarily for Wafer Fab and secondary for Assembly.
  • Data analysis to identify potential yield improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct process or product audits to identify potential root causes or sources of yield loss.
  • Manage & conduct evaluations or validation tests.
  • Work with and support multidisciplinary teams to recommend improvements in control.

  • Level of Junior or above and in good standing at a four-year university enrolled as a full time student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with statistics and basic statistical process control.  Advance skills in data analysis tool (Excel, MiniTab, JMP).
  • Able to read, interpret, and write process procedures.
  • Strong in communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Strong collaboration & team work skills


  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Familiar with Design Of Experiment method.  Knowledgeable of the 7 Basic Tools of Quality
