The Clean Room Technician II must meet the requirements of a Clean Room Technician I and be proficient in two areas of certification (Inspection, Bond and Spray) in their primary location.  A Clean Room Technician II must be an active member of one of the clean room teams.  All clean room operators must follow clean room protocols, be familiar with the Spectra documentation procedures, including the redline procedure and understand the KanBan system and material flow. Certain jobs may require experience not specifically stated in this document and will be administered by the Production Lead/Manufacturing/Production Supervisor.



Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.


Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.


Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.


Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.



  • Must be trained in all aspects of gowning and clean room protocol.
  • Ability to explain documentation control (verifying revs, redlines, and Quality alerts).
  • Know how to read Special Build Request (SBR) instructions. Demonstrate an understanding and awareness of the Kanban system and the proper flow of parts.
  • May assist in the training of other technicians according to prescribed training procedures.
  • Must know the location of documentation for Inspection, Bond, Spray and Backend Cell.
  • Must be able to identify parts through visual aids and part numbers.
  • Identify each part with nomenclature for each product.
  • Must know and become proficient in the use of microscopes and the various functions as used in the inspection of piece parts.
  • Must know how to disposition discrepant parts and know how and where to record data.
  • Make appropriate individuals aware of production problems and discuss details.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Google systems.
  • Must know how to interpret and understand the posted company metrics.
  • Must know emergency protocols, exits, and rally points.
  • Basic knowledgeof Document search
  • Must be proficient in the use of the company MSDS system.
  • May be TWI trained to participate in training of new employees and cross training of existing employees.
  • Must meet daily quota’s for quantity and quality of work performed
  • Must meet company’s expectations for unplanned time
  • May be asked to work in area’s that are developing new products
  • Maybe tasked with helping write process documents or JIBs
  • Maybe asked to work OT when needed

  • High school degree or equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must write legibly.
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Must be able to recognize and resolve problems.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as individually.
  • Job may require guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things done.


  • Some knowledge of SAP ERP or SAP MES
  • Past experience training co-workers
