Job Purpose

 

  • This position reports to the Regional Modality Manager and has overall responsibility for understanding and addressing the clinical needs of customers from Latin America in the field of US (Ultrasound Imaging).
  • The Ultrasound Clinical Applications Specialist position is responsible for providing customer clinical support of Fujifilm Ultrasound products, and understanding and addressing the clinical needs of end-users in Latin America, supporting to the clinical demonstration, providing clinical remote and/or onsite supporting and after sales activities in Latin America.
  • Monitor competitors’ product features and assist sales team from clinical information perspective.
  • Normally receives minimal instruction in routine work, general instructions on new products or assignments. Determines methods and procedures on new products, and provide guidance to other personnel.

 Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Clinical support:
    • Be a primary resource for the training of distributor personnel on the proper use of equipment in the clinical setting.
    • Be a primary resource for educational materials in the field for distributors.
    • Perform as the field-based experts on proper reprocessing techniques for use by its customers.
    • Provide and maintain customer data for integration into a future database application.
    • Provide on-going customer support for Fujifilm ultrasound products, including Software updates and system upgrades.
    • Performance troubleshooting follow-up visits.
    • Support Clinical Science with feedback on product performance and system enhancement suggestion.

 

  • Sales support:
    • Support the clinical demonstration process.
    • Work in conjunction with the Product & Marketing Team in the on-going development of required educational resources for the customer, sales team, Field Service Team and internal support personnel.
    • Support the training of new sales and support personnel when requested.
    • Support sales staff as requested to perform sales demonstrations to potential customers, including; basic system overview, displaying images, and discussion of system specifications and capabilities.
    • Attend regional trade shows as requested.
    • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
    • Create product promotion materials.
    • Provide product support through trade show attendance, advanced solutions, references, configuration, pricing options, technical oversight integration, and sales closing.
  • Regulatory:
    • Prepare and audit technical and product information for applications to medical regulatory agencies concerning medical imaging products in Latin American countries.
  • Training:
    • Provide product training to Latin American distributors.
    • Provide clinical support and product and application training to end-users (doctors and/or radiographers), application specialists, and sales distributors’ specialists, and assist the service training, collaborating with the service manager.

 

 Qualifications

  • Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Radiology Technologist Program or Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum Prior Work Experience Requirements:
    • 3 years of experience in the position offered or related position
    • Training end-users, including doctors and technical specialists.
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of information, including sales and public tenders.
  • Possess exceptional communication/interpersonal, analytical and clinical skills.
  • Proficient computer skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
  • Ability to present and speak effectively and professionally to employees of the organization.
  • Native Spanish and fluent English are mandatory.

 

 Physical Requirements

 

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities.

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

 TRAVEL:

Position requires up to ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
