We are hiring for a Service Sales Specialist to be located in the Central part of the country (TX, OK, KS, MO, NE, SD, ND, MN, WI, IL, MI, OH, KY).


The Service Sales Specialist provides leadership and promotes the service/sale of FMSU Modality Solutions products and services within their assigned geography and account targets in order to maximize service sales bookings, revenue and company profitability. He/she should have intimate detail regarding their customers business, buying patterns, overall service needs, and should put a primary focus on managing the core service contracting relationship within the account. The Service Sales Specialist will be the initial or primary coordinator and driver of service contract bookings within Modality Solutions product portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities 


New and Existing Modality Solutions Product Customer Base Management 

  • Makes and receives phone calls with the intent of strengthening our relationship with the existing customer install base.
  • Achieve or exceed objectives set for sales of Service Agreements within the assigned area and meet Fujifilm Medical business objectives.
  • Develop and close business for all Fujifilm Medical Service Agreements, including new Service sales opportunities (POP), Service Agreement renewals/extensions, Warranty and T/M conversions, etc.
  • Assess customer/business opportunities for Service Agreement Sales and develop/maintain plans to maximize Service business in the assigned sales area.
  • Monitors the existing Modality Solutions product customer base satisfaction and escalates concerns quickly to the Area Service Manager (ASM) / Zone Service VP (ZSVP) service team.
  • Continuously updates salesforce.com with current profile information about our existing Modality Solutions product customers.
  • Generates quotations on behalf of field service and customers, at least 90 days in advance of renewal date, with a maximum of a 48 hour turnaround time per quote request.
  • Develops, builds and cultivates long-term relationships with key management within the customer organization.

Sales Support 

  • Generates POP quotations on behalf of sales, with a target of a 48 hour maximum turnaround time per quote
  • Works collaboratively with the sales/service team to meet and exceed sales

New Business Generation (Bookings & Revenue)

  • Promotes Modality Solutions product based on specific installed base targeting, including using available promotions.
  • Disseminates appropriate information, related to sales opportunity and customer information, resulting from customer calls.
  • Service Sales prepares quotes, contracts, and site configurations to ensure accurate terms, conditions, pricing and configuration in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
  • Complies with the Quote to Order/Booking processes and follows any and all established policies and procedures including regulatory obligations.
  • Provides accurate booking documents enabling the Sales and Marketing Operations and Order To Remittance processes to work effectively.
  • Demonstrates proficient and effective use of the Company’s CRM tool, as directed by management. Ensures that opportunity pipelines, account activity, quote activity, contact management, assets and result reporting are accurately populated in system.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed records and work strategically to collaborate with all members of the selling team based on data collected.
  • Prospects, qualifies, and has lead responsibility for closing MS service sales opportunities within the assigned geography and account targets.


Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Communicates effectively within and between various cross-functional departments within the organization to ensure maximum collaboration between Product Marketing, Sales Team, Service, Training and Marketing.
  • Attends meetings and conferences via a travel schedule that is consistent with the requirements of the
  • Demonstrate proficient and effective use of the Company’s CRM tool, as directed by
  • Ensures that opportunity pipelines, account activity, quote activity, contact management, assets and result reporting is accurately populated in com.
  • Participates in strategic customer meetings and strategy sessions to help drive booking and sales leading to service revenue results.
  • Performs special projects, tasks, and duties, as needed.

  • Comply with all applicable S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations and standards.


  • BA/BS or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of Technical Sales experience, preferably customer support/service and relevant to medical field.
  • Diagnostic Imaging industry and or Healthcare IT market
  • Strong customer facing inside sales and/or outside sales experience.
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task.
  • Proven track record of strategic selling and closing service sales negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain service sales and achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Must have experience working with sales quotas, forecasting
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and create business impact.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Strong communication skills- presentation, written, and oral.
  • Must have strong impersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Exercises good judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Proficient in SalesForce.com, Gmail (or another (CRM) Customer Relationship Management tool).
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation
  • Must reside within assigned Zone geography.
  • Ability to travel about 30% of time with about 70% time spent in the field and at Corporate offices
  • A current valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements 

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities.

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds up to 20% of applicable work
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.


Ability to travel 30% of time and 70% time spent in the field and at Corporate offices.
