Overview

We are searching for a motivated and hardworking IT professional with Infrastructure knowledge with broad technical knowledge of enterprise classes covering, networking, Security, web technologies, distributed computing and cloud, SAN technologies, database and middleware technologies. This candidate should have experience designing, planning for and deploying application hosting and core data center infrastructure in support of large scale, custom developed applications. Successful candidates will create logical infrastructure designs for complex projects that span the multiple infrastructure technologies.

We are searching for a motivated and hardworking IT professional with Infrastructure knowledge with broad technical knowledge of enterprise classes covering, networking, Security, web technologies, distributed computing and cloud, SAN technologies, database and middleware technologies. This candidate should have experience designing, planning for and deploying application hosting and core data center infrastructure in support of large scale, custom developed applications. Successful candidates will create logical infrastructure designs for complex projects that span the multiple infrastructure technologies. This position is internally known as Operational IT Engineer II. 

 

Key Responsibilities:
Design and planning for enterprise class, large, complex, cross domain technology projects.
Create or tailor infrastructure reference architectures, design documentation, project plans and other design or project artifacts.

Experience with Virtualization Strategy (Hyper V, VMware)
Perform infrastructure estimation and capacity planning .
Act in a technical advisory role to ensure that technically optimal decisions are made during project planning and execution.
Work with the business and other non-technical resources to provide forecasting based on the available technical requirements.

Experience w/Enterprise based Back Ups

Experience with Domain Consolidation

 

Management

  • Interface and build collaborative partnerships with key site functions including Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Engineering, and Quality to deliver site goals and objectives.
  • Actively manage contractor activities to ensure work quality and safe practices to facilitation of contractor training.
  • Provide training or presentations on IT systems and tasks to site engineering personnel.

 

Performance

  • Maintain and support manufacturing automation LAN (Local Area Network) and VLANS.
  • Maintain and support all manufacturing automation servers, switches, routers, workstations and thin-clients.
  • Strong Server OS (operating Systems, MS-Win 2008, 2012, 2016) and VM (virtualization) knowledge.
  • Maintained 100% customer satisfaction for all technical support calls.
  • Provide hands-on detailed diagnostics/troubleshooting support for manufacturing, development, and utilities automated process control and monitoring systems
  • Support the design and implementation of sound engineering solutions for mitigating existing operational issues, drive continuous improvement, and introduce new technology in accordance with FDBU standards and cGMP regulatory requirements while following GAMP guidelines


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


Required:
 IT infrastructure management and support experience
4 years infrastructure solution design experience especially in large distributed environments involving n tier architecture infrastructures.
Experience performing capacity planning for physical and virtual application hosting infrastructure

Excellent infrastructure architecture and engineering documentation skills
Excellent project management skills
Excellent communications skills (oral & written) and ability to coordinate with various teams for request/task completion, facilitation, and analytical skills, inclusive of written, verbal and listening
Technical Project management or consulting experience…Work with suppliers and vendors to determine solutions.
Governance and or audit experience

 

Education Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent; or four to ten years’ work experience w/ VMWare, Hyper V, SQL Server, Windows XP plus, SAN, Cloud based
Regional Enterprise experience
