Job Summary:

 

The Business Intelligence & Reporting Manager will build, execute and maintain systems for data reporting and analytics across the organization.  This position will lead the development and implementation of reporting solutions to support the strategic objectives across the organization.  This individual will also work collaboratively with stakeholders ensuring the accuracy, consistency and improvement of data governance and process management with a heavy focus on financial data.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Directly responsible for the design, development, maintenance and support of existing reporting databases, tools, applications and dashboards for the entire company.
  • Develop and implement improved reporting systems.
  • Facilitate and drive key stakeholders to understand and develop their reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including business subject-matter experts and IT business analysts, in matters related to business process changes and data governance ensuring the accuracy and reporting of data.
  • Identify, refine and promote best practices in terms of document templates, processes and knowledge sharing.
  • Accountable for the quality and timeliness of data, adhering to a standardized framework, architecture reviews, change and release management and documentation for every source system loaded into the data warehouse.
  • Work with IT Data Architects as needed to ensure intelligent, effective and high-speed reporting solutions are in place.
  • Manage all data source consolidations from multiple systems to ensure consistency and single source reporting.
  • Assist subject-matter experts with the design of applied business rule data transformations.
  • Mentor and manage staff to ensure growth and overlap to ensure the on-going success of reporting systems.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

 

  • Implementation of business process automations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle EBS business processes, Discoverer, Business Intelligence Systems, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Reporting Services, Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
  • Solid working experience in SQL development.
  • Strong working knowledge of relational database design and data modeling.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle EBS configurations and data model.
  • Experience with data transformation tools such as Microsoft SSIS.
  • Demonstrated ability to design systems or processes to solve a problem.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or train others in the use of data tools and systems.
  • Project Management experience with medium to large projects.
  • 10 year experience in a business role such as finance or accounting is preferred.
  • 5 to 10 year experience in an IT role such as Business Analyst, Business Intelligence or SQL Developer.
  • 10 years of demonstrated leadership skills.
  • 5 - 7 year experience and effectiveness in direct management of a staff.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating and making decisions.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, IT)
