The Inkjet Applications Development Engineer will play a critical role in making our inkjet printhead technology accessible to OEM customers through the exploration of new application requirements and development of operating techniques of ink/printhead combinations that can meet those requirements. This position is part of the Jetting Technology Center and will reside in our Lebanon, NH facility. The Jetting Technology Center is responsible for the development of printhead technologies, and inkjet applications for existing and future printhead products, as well as conducting jetting performance evaluation, including; printhead design verification, ink assessment for specific applications, and waveform development.


  • KNOWLEDGE: Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.       
  • JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.  
  • SUPERVISION: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
  • EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.



  • Communicate application demands on printhead performance to other technical departments within FUJIFILM Dimatix.  
  • Takes ownership of test efficiency and effectiveness. Seeks out opportunities to improve jetting performance evaluation techniques in both short and long term.
  • Ability to gain a thorough understanding of target applications and expected jetting performance to meet application needs.
  • Provides clear and concise documentation of test processes. Accepts input from all sources when determining procedures. Trains technicians on new and revised procedures. Provides day-to-day support of testing activities.
  • Strong interest to work in a hands-on laboratory environment, the ability to accurately measure printhead performance, and provide detailed analysis of results.
  • Works closely with the JTC team to define and implement new performance evaluation techniques and with the Product Development team to provide feedback on potential design implementation.
  • Works cross-functionally with Operations, Technical Support, Product Development, and outside Partners.
  • 10-15% travel.




  • Increased ease of use for FUJIFILM Dimatix printhead products
  • Success of new strategic application programs.



  • Guidance of engineers and technicians.

  • Bachelor’s in a technical discipline and 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Advanced testing and applications engineering skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively document and present information to piers, customers, and management.
  • Details oriented and very well organized.
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office programs and Adobe Photoshop suite is desired.



  • Advanced degree.
  • Knowledge of FUJIFILM Dimatix technology.
