Job purpose

Responsible for leading the release of FUJIFILM Synapse Product line systems designs which utilize off the shelf hardware, software, and OEM Integration products. Responsible for developing specifications, integration designs, hardware and software installation / setup, project test plans, test matrices, product testing reports, determination of risk, and documentation management. Responsible for investigation, evaluation and execution of new technology projects which may be utilized including testing and approval of product through commercial release. Position is responsible for maintenance and development of written documentation, periodic review, and posting. This position requires interaction in a complex matrix environment with all levels of key functional areas including but not limited to; sales, technical support, field service, customer sites, end users, outside OEM hardware and software vendors, and all other service and administrative groups within Fuji involved in the order through remittance process. This position must be able to develop relationships and communication channels within the organization to ensure status feedback and cooperation with key project stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Company's quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception.
  • Ensures that all job duties inherent in the position description are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Leading and establishing key systems engineering and Integration procedures and tasks.
  • Development of work hardware and software designs, installation instructions, test plans/matrices, results reporting.
  • Responsible for design, specifications, evaluation and testing of new technology, hardware, and software products that may be utilized with Synapse Product lines.
  • Advisory and consultant for Synapse 3rd party system designs, configuration, specifications, and settings for installation and deployment documentation.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Synapse implementation process tools and documentation. Develop system designs and specifications for document control and management.
  • Develop, update, and maintain documentation on Synapse Intranet Web Site.
  • Responsible to act as the point of contact for new products, software changes including testing, and new information dissemination.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in a technical discipline. AA with significant on the job experience in a technical engineering role.
  • 10 years full time experience working with Virtualization technologies, VMware ESXi, Windows 2008 / 2012 servers, Windows 7 and Windows 8.x workstations, server hardware, workstation hardware, and network design.
  • Expertise in setup and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with database setup and installation.
  • Oracle experience including Data Guard, RAC, and PowerShell. 
  • Excellent written communication skills. The ability to receive and communicate technical information on all levels of the organization.
  • Experienced leading as the main technical resource for large hardware and software projects.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and MS Project.
  • Must be very organized and multi-tasking.
  • Experience in working with, managing, and resolving customer problems and issues.
  • Must be able to marshal resources in a complex matrix environment.
  • Experience in virtualization including VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V operating systems and network technology, high performance computing systems, and archival storage systems.
  • Willing to travel up to 30%.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • VCP and MCSE is highly desired
  • Knowledge of Radiology and Hospital workflows, key roles and responsibilities within a complex matrix.

Physical requirements

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities.

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

TRAVEL:
Occasional (up to 25%) travel may be required based on business need.
