We are hiring for a Procurement Strategic Sourcing Manager. The Procurement Strategic Sourcing Manager will drive strategic initiatives including risk management, supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, and supply agreement management. The person in this role will be responsible for leading sourcing specialists in driving key activities to ensure company's long term stability in supply assurance, risk mitigation, total cost of ownership, and efficiencies in supply chain are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep industry insights leveraging supply market intelligence and industry insights
  • Strategic thinking to develop longer-range supply strategies and plans that drive significant value while meeting the business requirements
  • Deep supplier relationship management with focus on assurance of supply, risk mitigation, and long term mutual growth via partnership
  • Identify potential alternate suppliers, visit existing suppliers, and promote supplier relationship management (SRM) program
  • Lead stakeholder engagement to influencing business decisions relevant to the category strategy
  • Set aggressive continuous improvement goals for assigned categories and explore a broad set of value levers to deliver on targets
  • Function as Subject Matter Expert for assigned categories in Procurement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in supporting their sourcing needs and provide necessary guidance in regards to procurement processes
  • Partner with Finance, Materials Management, Marketing, QA, QC, and other departments in support their respective needs
  • Generate and track TCO savings achievements according to procurement annual goals and policy
  • Collaborate with Planning and Marketing and promote forecasting levels of demand for raw materials in order to meet the business needs
  • Promote concept of EOQ / MOQ to the business partners and alignment on optimum material inventory levels for Marketing and Manufacturing needs
  • Manage supplier performance through periodical Quality and Business Reviews (QBR) and maintain supplier communications regularly
  • Be actively involved in understanding supplier’s manufacturing capability, inventory strategy, business trends, etc. while executing strategies to improve raw material delivery performance
  • Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
  • Negotiate supply agreements and purchase agreements with key suppliers to ensure commercial terms and quality of products and services provided are in best terms to the company
  • Forecast price trends and their impact on future purchase price fluctuations
  • Develop company’s short to long term Procurement strategy
  • Lead RFI / RFQ / RFP activities and make supplier selection recommendations based on commercial and technical requirements
  • Manage and lead procurement / sourcing specialists’ day-to-day deliverables and ensure internal stakeholders’ expectations / support can be met accordingly

Experience/ Education:

  • BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent; APICS certification a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of sourcing experience preferred in a cGMP and FDA regulated environment
  • 2 to 4 years of sourcing experience preferred in the Bio-Technology space
  • 3+ years of experience using MRP and ERP systems; SAP a plus
  • Full understanding of sourcing and purchasing industry policies and procedures
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Projects, Visio, and Outlook
