    Job Summary:

    Lead the design of software architecture, software development and quality management of FUJIFILM SonoSite Medical Informatics projects.  Consider complex network and product interfaces, as well as standards and protocols.

    Help establish and achieve the project goals and objectives with internal and external parties in combination with the expertise of project management.

    Drive schedule, identify and mitigate risks, and identify issues.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

     

    • Create a robust and extensible architecture
    • Develop software for Medical Informatics.
    • Be technical interface to off-shore development team.
    • Author and / or lead the documentation for requirements, design, test, procedure, test results, etc., according to the Quality Management System.
    • Diagnose and fix bugs with effective use of debugging tools
    • Design of both data structures and presentation layer of products
    • Incorporate industry best practices in our software process
    • Provide timely updates on project status and escalate issues in a timely fashion

     

    Knowledge and Experience:

     

     

    • BS degree in Computer Science or related field. MS Preferred.
    • 10+ years of demonstrable experience in software development and systems integration.
    • 3+ years managing or leading a software development team in multiple locations.
    • Experience with one or more of the following: CDA, XML, and Web access technologies
    • Strong knowledge of DICOM and HL7
    • Must be proficient in C/C++, Java or C# and JavaScript/HTML
    • Strong knowledge of project management, risk management and iterative development process
    • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in using those methods to deliver complex software components
    • Flexibility to initiate and attend international conference calls accommodating multiple time zones
    • Ability to travel as needed and up to 20%.
    • Must have experience designing and reviewing SW architecture and object oriented design concepts
    • Ability to lead and be a contributing member of a multi-disciplined and global team. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Familiarity with IEC62304 for SW development desirable.
    • PACS/HIS/RIS/CIS, Medical Informatics, Software as a Service (SaaS) or medical product development desirable.
